95-Disputations on Ezekiel 1:11 and Heavenly Incarnate Deity Who Condescends to Transcendent Humility in Christ Alone

By Dr. M.A. Petillo, D.Th., & D.Min., and Reformed Baptist Preacher

“…Such were their faces.  Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and two covering their bodies…”  (Ezekiel 1:11 NASB).

1.     The fallen face of fallen mankind is radical depravity.

2.     The Incarnate Son possessed no nature of an evil deity.

3.     The eternal Son possessed no nature of a sinful humanity.

4.     Jesus Christ has two natures: namely, divine and human in One.

5.     The particular atonement of Jesus was for a particular people.

6.     Those who have atonement for sin to the Father are faces of light.

7.     The face of Satan is pleased over a rebellious sinner.

8.     The demons are ready to possess the unconverted because the more of sin means an evil welcoming to the unconverted sinner.

9.     The Triune Godhead is happy with those of Christ-honoring obedience as a foredetermined demonstration of the gift of faith.

10.                        The Father is pleased with those who possess the unified imputed merit of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

11.                        The Son is pleased with those who recognize He is the only well-beloved Son of the Father of lights.

12.                        The Spirit is pleased with those who spiritually comprehend His work as the Hound of Heaven to provide the gift of His divine righteousness, His gift of faith, because of a new creation.

13.                         The Father’s face is the beauty of divine holiness to command the Son to save in His unified work through the work of the Spirit as the First Member of the Trinity.

14.                        Where did the Father come from?  He always was is and forever shall be because He is God but someone who would not be God would not have always existed.

15.                        The Son’s face is the beauty of submissive holiness in His divine work of His life and His death at the Father’s command as the Second Member of the Trinity.

16.                        Where did the Son come from?  The Son always existed from everlasting to everlasting but the Father is eternally the First Person but the Son is the eternally begotten God as the Second Person.

17.                        The Spirit’s face is the beauty of the application of holiness under co-equal submission to the Father and the Son.

18.                        Where did the Spirit come from?  The Spirit in some non-Christian cults is an impersonal force but He also was is and forever shall be because He is God but He is understood as the Third Person.

19.                        There is One Being, of God with Three Distinct Persons: namely, God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit.

20.                        An elect angel’s face is a glowing beauty of holiness and creaturely sinlessness where they are profoundly concerned about whatsoever is right.

21.                        The face of the Father, the face of the Son and the face of the Spirit (one essence but three in person) is everywhere that beholds everything we think, say and do because He is profoundly interested in who stands through His eternal Son or who falls into the eternal pit of hell.

22.                        The Father beholds the face of the Son in sinless happiness.

23.                        The Son beholds the face of the Father in absolute perfection.

24.                        The Spirit beholds the face of the Father and Son in divine sinlessness.

25.                        There is a eternal interpersonal relationship in the one being of God of the Father, Son and Spirit.

26.                        There is an inter-communication between the Majesty of the Triune Godhead.

27.                        There is an eternal fellowship, friendship and divine love of the profoundest, deepest and awesome sense of an exalted meaning of the word love between the Members of the Triune Majesty.

28.                        The Father’s divine face that we behold in the beatific vision was not created but He always existed.

29.                        The Son’s face of those the glorified redeemed in the beatific vision was not created but He always existed.

30.                        The Spirit’s face of those of the glorified saints will behold the beatific vision that also was not created but He always existed.

31.                        The Father is, the Son is, and the Spirit is.

32.                        The Triune Majesty is because that is His nature.

33.                        The is does not merely represent an idea of a God but a real actuality of the Three Persons of the Triune Godhead.

34.                        Every saint is meant for heaven above!

35.                        Every elect angel is meant for heaven above!

36.                        We look up to behold the handiwork of God in the heavens!

37.                        There are clouds in the blue sky that usher in a storm!

38.                        The clouds of the sky hold snow or rain, etc., but the storms that His children go through are not without His control but are designed by His Hand to mold us into the image of God the Son because after all the Father’s design is all about the eternal Son.

39.                        The image of God is shattered since the fall.

40.                        Those of the Spirit are being conformed to the image of the Son.

41.                        Those of the elect have the image of God restored in final and future glorification through the love of the Son but the Father selfsame love of the Son in His chosen people do not become the Son but are loved through the Son.

42.                        The wings of the elect angels attend to the pain of God’s people.

43.                        The elect angels also watch the pre-converted elect sinners.

44.                        At the throne of the Son He commands them to have the pre-converted elect babes to be under the care of a family of elect angels.

45.                        The elect angels for the time pertain to their welfare but see to it in their mission that the armies surround the temporary reprobate to authentically respond in genuine faith and repentance by the Spirit and Word.

46.                        The wings of Jehovah cover the elect babes to protect them to symbolize His creation where God condescends to protect them against unnumbered foes.

47.                        The gospel is spread over the whole world.

48.                        God made the whole world but the whole world is seen to rebel against a holy God.

49.                        God saves an innumerable multitude in the end concerning His elect people at His good pleasure because of His all-wisdom.

50.                        The intelligence gathering of the Triune God is over all the earth, the universe, the place of hell and heaven.

51.                        He will use the information as an indictment against reprobates.

52.                        God uses the godly living of His people in a sense of a an fragment aroma to the glory of His mercy through the Son’s acquittal of His people because of Himself in His life and death alone in how someone is right with a holy God.

53.                        God’s people are of His unified imputed merit that alone stands before the Father because who else is the Father’s only well-beloved in the ultimate sense but the eternal Son?

54.                        The elect people of God are people of Christian fellowship.

55.                        The saints of Jesus Christ love the friendship of God through His eternal, uncreated and unchanging Son of Man.

56.                        Hell is a place of separation between God and man touching His absolute mercy through His matchless Son.

57.                        Hell is a place of isolation (without being able to hide) but active horror, terror and agony of God’s wrath, fury and indignation between cosmic criminals unto eternal reprobation in condemnation to the glory of His justice.

58.                        I suppose that though hell is a place of isolation it is also a place of unrestrained evil where sinner will harm sinner.

59.                        It is the place in the ultimate sense where every reprobate sinner will be turned over to themselves.

60.                        Thus fulfills the Scripture “evil will repay the wicked.”

61.                        Every elect person will have the right hand of fellowship.

62.                        The imputation of the Son’s unified merit covers God’s people.

63.                        The imputed righteousness of the eternal Son is real.

64.                        Jesus’ righteousness is real because Jesus is real.

65.                        If Jesus is real His imputed unified merit is real.

66.                        If His unified merit is real it is the only merit the Father approves unto mercy.

67.                        There is a merit among reprobates that only merits hell but this is repaid by God in His just justice.

68.                        The Father will destroy body and soul in hell without the covering of the Son in the glorification of His life and death alone in justification by faith alone.

69.                        The Triune Godhead in His plan is unified in the creation, redemption and salvation.

70.                        The historic fall gave Adam and Eve a false covering.

71.                        God gave Adam and Eve a true covering that point of Jesus.

72.                        If the covering of Jesus is not a true covering seen in the Garden of Eden why was it prefigured and given by God Himself upon His fallen human creatures?

73.                        If God provides a covering what else would it be except His eternal Son for did not God prophecy about the atonement that is the very covering of God’s people in the robes of Jesus in His blood and righteousness?

74.                        If Jesus’ blood and righteousness brings us close to the Father where we sit on His lap what else could there be?

75.                        If we sit on the Father’s lap is He not a lovely and gracious Father who never abandons those of the oath of God through His Son.

76.                        Those of the oath of His eternal Son will forever stand before the Father.

77.                        We stand on our knees or stand clothed in robes of Jesus.

78.                        The robes of Jesus are perfect but He took our filthy rages at His matchless, historic and unbelievable Cross.

79.                        It was not the Cross itself was unbelievable but it was that the Father’s consuming, untouchable and eternal wrath was applied to the eternal Son on the Cross because He was in a real sense applied to the Son at the Cross but in another sense He remained sinless while enduring the punishment of the Father in behalf of God’s chosen people who had every sin paid by the Son where now the debts are concealed and all is paid in full.

80.                        Jesus is real because of the incarnation of God the Son.

81.                        God the Son entered His creation to save a lost people.

82.                        Lost people unless civilly awakened will not understand.

83.                        It is possible for someone lost to civilly understand but not be genuinely awakened by the Spirit and the Word.

84.                        How does one tell if they have the Spirit of God?  It is the simplicity of faithful repentance to the all-sufficient Son to the Father unto redeeming the time in seeking the face of Jesus.

85.                        Those who do not understand in the final analysis will be condemned because the Spirit chose not to awaken them.

86.                        The elect angels will be together in God’s glory of heaven.

87.                        The deceased ELECT people of God are together in glory.

88.                        The deceased REPROBATE people are scattered in hell.

89.                        Those of the spiritual villainy of reprobation seek to build a tower above God and conquer God.

90.                        Those of reprobation seek to rise above the Triune Aseity of God.

91.                        The wings of darkness will perish in outer darkness.

92.                        The flames of hell will punish rebellion unto reprobation.

93.                        Hell is without correctional justification.

94.                        Not even death justifies them but they will agree before the Judges of judges that Jesus’ approbation of their condemnation is just.

95.                        O God!  Take us up in wings of glory to Thyself so we may behold the splendor of Thy glory unto eternal mercy to sings praises to Thy name because God is all about enjoying His beauty unto His majestic glories of glories in the Glory of the Triune Majesty!
