"...Gladness may not be thanksgiving. It certainly
is not all of thanksgiving. One may have a heart bubbling with joy,
without a note of thanksgiving. The task of happiness is one to which we
should all firmly set ourselves. To be miserable in this glorious world, is
most unfit. We should cultivate joyousness. But our present lesson is a
larger and deeper one. Thanksgiving implies thought of God. One may be glad
all the day—and never think of God. Thanksgiving looks up with every breath,
and sees God as Father from whom all blessings come. Thanksgiving is praise.
The heart is full of gratitude. Every moment has something in it to inspire
love. The lilies made Jesus think of his Father, for it was he who clothed
them in beauty. The providence of our lives, if we think rightly of it, is
simply God caring for us. Our circumstances may sometimes be hard, our
experiences painful, and we may see nothing in them to make us glad. But
faith teaches us that God is always good and always kind,
whatever the present events may be. We may be thankful, therefore,
even when we cannot be glad. Our hearts may be grateful, knowing that
good will come to us even out of pain and loss....This is the secret of true thanksgiving. It thinks always
of God and praises him for everything. The song never dies out in the heart,
however little there may be in the circumstances of life to make us glad.
Thanksgiving is a quality of all noble and unselfish life. No man is so
unworthy, as he who never cherishes the sentiment of gratitude, who receives
life's gifts and favors—and never gives back anything in return for all he
gets. (The Thanksgiving Lesson, J. R. Miller, 1912).

Hebrews 12:28 NASB "...Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe..."
Meaning of Disputation...
...More pain more thanks.
More trouble more praise.
More slander more prayer.
More trauma more love...

Of the Father's love begotten
Ere the worlds began to be,
He is Alpha and Omega,
He the source, the ending he,
Of the things that are, that have been,
And that future years shall see.
This is he whom heav'n-taught singers
Sang of old with one accord,
Whom the Scriptures of the prophets
Promised in their faithful word;
Now he shines, the long-expected;
Let creation praise its Lord.
O ye heights of heav'n, adore him;
Angel hosts, his praises sing;
All dominions, bow before him,
And extol our God and King;
Let no tongue on earth be silent,
Ev'ry voice in concert ring.
Thee let age and thee let manhood,
Thee let boys in chorus sing;
Matrons, virgins, little maidens,
With glad voices answering;
Let their guileless songs reecho,
And their heart its music bring.
Christ, to thee, with God the Father,
And, O Holy Ghost, to thee,
Hymn, and chant, and high thanksgiving,
And unwearied praises be,
Honor, glory, and dominion,
And eternal victory. (TH, 122).

1.) There is a positional peace that cannot be shaken because of the oath of God through the matchless unified work of Jesus Christ alone by faith alone.
2.) Gratitude is unshakeable regarding God's oath. That is God cannot go against Himself in terms of spiritual salvation regarding His chosen elect.
3.) Unshakeablity is God's legal and forensic declaration through the imputation of the unified righteousness of Christ alone by the spiritual application of the Spirit and Word in spiritual rebirth for lost sinners who are His chosen possession forever without intermission.
4.) There is no way for an elect sinner to perish because of monergistic spiritual rebirth by the Holy Ghost and written Word.
5.) Monergism is simply supernatural rebirth that cannot be undone in this life, hell or anywhere.
6.) It cannot be undone by anyone in all creation not even God Himself can undo the work of His matchless rebirth for His chosen people in Christ.
7.) Why? He cannot go against Himself regarding His oath for His chosen vessels of mercy!
8.) Justification by faith alone is through Christ alone is unshakeable because it is based on God Incarnate and His unshakeable oath!
9.) The saving and true faith is unshakeable in a positional sense concerning God's oath by His Spirit but there is a sense of faithlessness in the unbreakable state of grace where God remains faithful to His elect children regardless of a dead awakened mind because they respond in faithful repentance but in a weakened shattered mind and a impossible heart that was changed by the Spirit and Word for the glory of Jesus Christ unto mercy.
10.) Do you have faithful repentance that is a foredetermined demonstration that is a salvational (a non-civil gift) that is purely of God's redemptive purpose for the glory of His mercy?
11.) Yes! it's all about Jesus Christ and His glory for the mercy of His children chosen before the foundations of the earth!
12.) We ought to be thankful for the Spirit in rebirth.
13.) Thanksgiving is for justification by faith alone.
14.) Gratitude is for God's unbreakable order of salvation for His chosen who respond in faith.
15.) The Word is the essence of thanksgiving.
16.) The Spirit enables the light of gratitude in the darkness of despair.
17.) When you are troubled give thanks to God.
18.) How? By courage of the infallible Word!
19.) Why? To give glory to God alone.
20.) What? Every suffering has meaning for good.
21.) Where? From God's Almighty Hand.
22.) When? Now give thanks because He is at work.
23.) Worship the Lord because of His kindness.
24.) Worship the Lord because of His compassion.
25.) Worship the Lord because of His humility.
26.) Reverence to the written Word is loyalty to God.
27.) Loyalty to Christ is by His Spirit.
28.) It is easy to be shakened by the complete depravity of the darkness of human sin.
29.) The Spirit does not "inspire" sinful error.
30.) No human in themselves can stand against Satan unless Christ dwells in them.
31.) Satan can shake the human frailty of sinners.
32.) False religion will be shaken by a holy Triune God who hates evil and distortions of His truth.
33.) For those who are shaken it is best to read the written Word of God and dwell upon His divine revelation by His Spirit and the intercession of Jesus Christ.
34.) Heaven cannot be touched by Satan in a way that overtakes it for his satanic plan.
35.) The kingdom is within us but it cannot be apart from the Spirit and the Word.
36.) Satan comes to shake the people of God with accusations before the innocence of God.
37.) There is no shaking the unified work of Jesus.
38.) No one can shake Incarnate Deity.
39.) No one can stop the intercession of Jesus.
40.) Who can stop the risen Christ who defeated death by a conquering life that destroyed death? Perish O death of death! Back into the abyss!
41.) The resurrection of Jesus is a bodily resurrection unto life that deserves our gratitude.
42.) We need to be awakened to gratitude.
43.) Salvation-based gratitude does not come by nature but by the awakening of the Spirit and Word.
44.) Thanksgiving is for the bodily ascension of Jesus because He rose over darkness into the light of heaven where there is His throne of set apart majesty of heavenly bliss unto mercy or justice.
45.) The written Word is a reason to rejoice.
46.) Rejoicing is about thinking upon Jesus.
47.) Thinking upon Jesus is by the Spirit.
48.) The presence of the Spirit is from the Father and Son for the purpose of God.
49.) There is a civil gratitude among reprobates but it is not the same as redemptive gratitude.
50.) A strange providence! Yes! I rejoiced in a foreseen time when I would be born from above! I was civilly thankful for the future but it was not the time of redemptive thanksgiving! but that would come by the Spirit and Word at His timing!
51.) Who? Let's be thankful to God alone.
52.) What? Salvation has come indeed!
53.) How? By God's divine monergistic intervention!
54.) Where? For every corner of the earth in every tribe, tongue, people and nation for those He chooses by the sovereign intent of the purpose of His Cross for His chosen scattered over the face of the earth!
55.) When? Its all about God's timing by His Spirit and Word for those who respond in faith and repentance by His work alone!
56.) Faith can be shakened in a experiential sense.
57.) Faith can be diminished, increased or seemingly absent but there is always faith because of God's work though it would seem it is dead.
58.) Faith can seem like it dies but it cannot die in the ultimate sense because of the work of the Spirit and Word.
59.) The measures of faith in terms of grace and sin are weighed in experiential terms by the objective Word and Spirit.
60.) The mind by nature is spiritually dead.
61.) The heart by nature is a lifeless stone.
62.) True faithless faith is limited because of man's fallen sinfulness of sin.
63.) Faithfulness is enabled by the Spirit and Word because after-all God is the ultimate picture of faithfulness.
64.) Demi-gods will be shaken by a false faithless faithlessness that has no glimmer of hope but only a hopelessness in themselves that cannot will the invention of anything but a mass of sinful darkness that overtakes the minds of fallen men.
65.) An idolatrous faith is really in themselves that really is an indictment of criminal sin.
66.) It is beyond the coldness of space and the black darkness of shadow regarding demi-gods.
67.) The shadows of ingratitude are of the damned.
68.) What? There is a reason to be thanksgiving even for pain!
69.) How? If God ordains all things, there is purpose behind all the pain due to His holy intent.
70.) Where? Here's pain and here's thanks!
71.) Why? If God's intent is holy to cause you pain and He controls it isn't better to give thanks?
72.) When? Pain overtakes us but thanksgiving is a way to share in a joy that transcends pain.
73.) You have great despair? Now is the time to have a joy that overcomes it! How? Apply the written Word! Rejoice and give thanks in all occasions.
74.) Do you have more pain? Why not respond with thanks to God? Anything less is sin.
75.) If you have no thanks to God over your shakeable pain how can is be true in a logical and biblical way that God is without error and He is indeed all-wise?
76.) If God is all-wise we must be people of all-thanks and all-praise to Him alone.
77.) If He gives me pain I will have gratitude.
78.) If He gives me trauma I will rejoice.
79.) If He slays me I will yet praise Him.
80.) Do we sadistically enjoy suffering? Not at all.
81.) Is God sinfully motivated to love pain in an unholy way to exalt evil? By no means!
82.) The world will shake with justice.
83.) The earth shakes because of the marches of evil but God opens up the abyss so they fall into hell.
84.) Gratitude is a way to thank God.
85.) There is no praise before the eyes of sinners.
86.) Praise of sinners is like applauding other sin.
87.) There is a civil praise of sinners.
88.) O God! shake the world! It has no gratitude for you but weapons ready to launch against the King.
89.) We must have reverence for the Word.
90.) The Spirit enables us to love the Word.
91.) Living by the Word is a life of peaceful thanks.
92.) Living by the Word is by the Spirit.
93.) Reverential gratitude is the way of Jesus.
94.) Be grateful for God's holy intent in all that you endure because He caused and ordained all of it.
95.) Elect sinners are only accepted because of Jesus Christ because of the Father's design and the Spirit's approbation (or approval) of Jesus.
Amen and amen.
Can a little child like me
Thank the Father fittingly?
Yes, O yes! be good and true,
Patient, kind in all you do;
Love the Lord, and do your part;
Learn to say with all your heart,
Father, we thank thee! Father, we thank thee!
Father in heaven, we thank thee!
For the fruit upon the tree,
For the birds that sing of thee,
For the earth in beauty dressed,
Father, mother, and the rest,
For thy precious, loving care,
For thy bounty ev'rywhere,
For the sunshine warm and bright,
For the day and for the night,
For the lessons of our youth—
Honor, gratitude and truth,
For the love that met us here,
For the home and for the cheer,
For our comrades and our plays,
And our happy holidays,
For the joyful work and true
That a little child may do,
For our lives but just begun,
For the great gift of thy Son, (TH, 645).

"...Nowhere in the Bible can we find either ingratitude or
joylessness commanded or commended. All ungrateful feelings and dispositions
are condemned. A great deal is said in disapproval of murmuring, discontent,
worrying, and all forms of ingratitude. Again and again we are taught that
joy is the keynote of a true life. It is not enough to rejoice when
the sun shines, when all things are going well with us, when we are in the
midst of prosperity; we are to rejoice as well when clouds hide the blue
sky, when our circumstances seem to be adverse, or when we are passing
through sufferings....In one of the Psalms, the writer says: "I will bless the
Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." He had
learned to sing in the hours of pain—as well as in the times of gladness.
That is the way the Christian should live—nothing should hush his song or
choke the voice of thanksgiving and praise..." (The Thanksgiving Habit, J. R. Miller, 1904).
