95-Exhortations on John 3:20, the Light is Jesus and Hate-Consuming Reprobates

M.A. Petillo, Doctor of Theology

There is no sorrow, Lord, too light
To bring in pray'r to thee;
There is no anxious care too slight
To wake thy sympathy.
Thou, who hast trod the thorny road,
Wilt share each small distress;
The love, which bore the greater load,
Will not refuse the less.
There is no secret sigh we breathe,
But meets thine ear divine;
And ev'ry cross grows light beneath
The shadow, Lord, of thine.
Life's ills without, sin's strife within,
The heart would overflow,
But for that love which died for sin,
That love which wept with woe.  (TH, 517).

"For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed."
1.)  The reprobate hate the Light Who is Jesus alone.
2.)  The reprobate by nature hate each other and Jesus.
3.)  The reprobate practice damned-furthering evil.
4.)  The Light of the World is Incarnate Deity.
5.)  There is a sense where the written Word is a light.
6.)  There is no redemptive light in reprobate sinners.
7.)  There is a civil benevolence for reprobates.
8.)  The reprobates are turned over to their sin by a holy Triune God, because He judges sin in detailed sovereignty.
9.)  Everyone of the reprobate love the works of the flesh.
10.)  Everyone of the converted elect love the gifts of the Spirit or the fruits of the Spirit.
11.)  Evil reprobates hate the Light because they are war with a holy Triune God by nature due to the Fall of Adam.
12.)  It is possible due to the radically corrupt and fallen nature of man to also hate a holy Majestic God, because we still possess a remaining corruption.
13.)  The pre-converted elect before they come to the Word Made Flesh in the God-Spoken Incarnation of Jesus Christ they will also hate a Innocent Triune Creator and Redeemer in the sense of a forsaken hatred that will turn into a God-honoring love of Christ and His people by the overshadowing regeneration by the Spirit of Christ for God's chosen people.
14.)  The practice of evil is the characteristic of reprobation.
15.)  The practice of evil is not the practice of a born again person, because lawfulness not lawlessness is by the Spirit.
16.)   There is a real contrast between reprobation (lawlessness) and a true Christian (lawfulness).

17.)  All pre-converted elect sinners are ungodly, because the Spirit has not quickened them for spiritual salvation.

18.)  All never-converted non-elect sinners are also ungodly, but a holy Triune God never quickens them for redemption and leave them as vessels of His ultimate justice.

19.)  Hell is a place of lawlessness prepared for the devil and his fallen angels, but also fallen sinners are placed there who know not a holy Triune God and obey not the gospel.

20.)  Hell is before the time for them that do not know Jesus.

21.)  Every true Christian will struggle with sin even over and over, but the basic question is, "have they repented and do they seek to redeem the time?"  If all of this does not lead to a three-sixty lifestyle and a reverse of sin, it is best to keep up the fight.  That is, if you fall, get back up again.  Do not look back but go forward.  Ask those of trustworthy faithfulness to pray for you in confession of known and unknown sin.  This is so that you may be spiritually healed.

22.)  The reprobate may have a civil healing but not a redemptive healing, but a civil healing is touching the flesh but a redemptive healing is touching the Spirit.

23.) Hatred of the Light (Jesus) is also hatred of the Father and the Spirit, because they are co-equal, co-essential and co-loving but they remain distinct in the Three in One and One in Three: namely, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

24.)  Hatred of the Light (Jesus) is an act of attrition.

25.)  A non-confession in constant, contrite and short-account repentance of small or great sin to the Triune God of known and unknown sin is a fear of punishment of exposing the deeds of darkness, but once a Christian is quickened by the Spirit and the Word he will seek to expose the deeds of darkness but not take part in them.

26.)  The reprobate hates the idea of trusting Jesus.

27.)  The reprobate does not trust Jesus for fear of punishment, because he does not come by faith.

28.)  If we come by faith (only because of the Spirit and Word), we come to a holy Triune God in a spiritual friendship that He first initiates to us by His choice.

29.)  Jesus knows everything about everybody, but for the never-converted reprobate it is meant for justice and for the converted Christian it is meant for mercy.

30.)  There is a false light and a true light.

31.)  The false light is Satan but the true light is Jesus.

32.)  The false light is false religion but the true light is biblical Christianity.

33.)  The Christian is called to be a law enforcer of the moral law of God touching the God-speaking Scripture.

34.)  The reprobate have a civil light that is from creation touching their reprobative spirit, but there is a redemptive light that only comes by the Spirit and the Word in spiritual quickening unto election for their ultimate good unto the glory of Jesus for mercy, love and pity for His chosen.

35.)  The false light is a false repentance.

36.)  The false light is a false faith.

37.)  The false light is a denial of the unified imputed righteousness of Christ alone for how someone is right with a holy Triune God by a Spirit-born faith and repentance.

38.)  A true light is all about honoring Jesus Christ in the God-speaking Scriptures in what we believe, what words we speak and how we live before the all-present Triune Creator.

39.)  Exposing the deeds of darkness is like a Bible detective, but also an intelligence officer for Jesus Christ in isolating, gathering, reporting and locating information that the devil has done or that he is planning through Jesus' illumination by the Spirit depending on how the Spirit moves in a non-extra biblical "revelation."
40.)   The true Spirit-given light is the written Word alone.

41.)  The false light is another Spirit, another Christ, another Word, another Father, another faith.

42.)  A never-converted reprobates love and further and recommend a deep agonizing self-pity-filled damnation and planning for the abyss of hell in a lifestyle of set apart lawlessness that rivals the days of Noah, but there are those pre-converted reprobates who are pre-converted elect sinners that have a civil seeking to belong to Christ (God may test your motives and see if you want to belong to Him when nothing adds to Him) when only His Spirit and Word can belong to Christ alone.

43.)  Isn't it right to do all you can to belong to Christ even though none of it enables you to belong to Christ save the divine intervention of a holy Triune God alone?
44.)  If a sinner seeks to belong to Christ when faith and repents fails in a life-long consistency, God may enable him to engage in a civil seeking that eventually leads to spiritual salvation (we must go through the process but the process does not save) but adds nothing to Christ alone in how someone is right with a holy Triune God.

45.)  We are not saved by prayer, but we are not saved apart from prayer.  That is, Christ alone is the grounds for justification by faith alone.

46.)  The Father's design is through His Son by His Spirit.

47.)  The Son's work is His life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, coronation, intercession and the Second Coming.

48.)  The Spirit's work is regeneration in spiritual salvation and enabling Christian ministry unto godly living.

49.)  The reprobates hate without cause like Satan and his fallen angels, because evil has not been conquered by the Spirit and put to death in Christ so a sinner spiritually lives.

50.)  There is no Christ-honoring wisdom among reprobates in saving knowledge, but on religious reprobates there is a head knowledge that hopes for justification by death.
51.)  The never-converted reprobates or the soon-to-be-converted reprobates have a civil knowledge that can result in a civil exposing of the unfruitful deeds of darkness, because there are different degrees of civil goodness by those who are unbelieving.
52.)  A holy Triune God can use a civil exposing of evil for His own cosmic purposes that leads to civil justice or civil mercy, but it may lead to a cessation of the practice of unfruitful deeds of a light that is not a light.
53.)  There is a war between satanic reprobates and Christians, because the former is darkness and the latter is light.
54.)  Christians tell Jesus everything in prayer about sin.
55.)  Jesus always forgives; Jesus always understands.
56.)  Jesus never casts out any who come to Him on His terms, but what are His terms?  Simply child-like faith.
57.)  Jesus will never use sin against His people, but He will say, "My child, I love You and I will never cast You out."
58.)   Jesus says in a whisper,  "You are mine; No darkness shall harm You."

59.)  The hardness of a fallen sinner is like before a holy all-powerful Triune God, "Is the arm of God short?  Is there anything too hard for God?"

60.)  There is no light in Muhammad but Jesus alone.
61.)  There is  no light in Buddha but Jesus alone.

62.)  There is no light in Zoroaster but Jesus alone.
63.)  There is no light in Confucius but Jesus alone.
64.)  There is no light in gurus but Jesus alone.
65.)  Darkness is fallen Lucifer but Jesus is the light.

66.)  Judas Iscariot takes part in deeds of darkness with no authentic repentance, but a repentance that takes part in the unfruitful deeds of darkness through a mere outward change of behavior but a "deceitful repentance" that never sleeps in eternal punishment in the place of outer darkness in hell.

67.)  How does this relate to my life?  Simply its about straight up straight talk to a holy Triune God, the people of God, the enemies of God and using Scripture to defend against the onslaught attacks of evil.

68.)  A evil deed like homosexual marriage is a deed of darkness, but what do we do if we think we know?  Simply redeem the time in a practical sense put to death the deeds of the sinful flesh.

69.)  There is a civil change of reprobates but it is not a redemptive change.

70.)  A civil change may lead to a redemptive change: namely, it is up to a holy Triune God to make men differ in a civil sense and a redemptive sense.

71.)  A redemptive change may lead to a civil change, but there is a sense where every Christian is in a conflict and struggle in the matter of sin (Jesus will help them conquer sin through seasons (sometimes years) of chastening, mortification and crucifixion of sin by the Spirit and Word).
72.)  Every Christian should ask for supernatural chastening, but God is faithful to afflict His people (it adds nothing to Christ alone but God is taking us through this life in molding us with His Almighty Hand that is all about the glory of Jesus Christ in exalting Him alone).

73.)  The enemy says to a fallen sinner "There is no hope; You are damned forever; Live to Satan; Take, take, take."  What should be our response?  Simply response with the wisdom of Jesus.  "Away with you...You know not the power of God."

74.)   Stay away from reprobates who want to take you to hell, because I have personally fought with them.  These people will take you to hell and pursue a abyss of injustice lifestyle.

75.)  Jesus takes sin of His people; He absorbs it upon Himself, because He satisfies justice upon Him at His Cross alone where all other attempts to satisfy justice in a redemptive sense never avails because no one else is God Incarnate (only Jesus Christ alone!)

76.)  The Jews that deny Jesus Christ as Jehovah in human flesh take part in pit of hell beliefs, but it is possible to have a head knowledge of the truth of Jesus but be unsaved.

77.)  Practically true Christians have a correct knowledge in a experiential sense, but God the Spirit through the Word brings about a redemptive change by a saving knowledge.
78.)  God quickens a knowledge by His Spirit through His Word, because He brings about glory of Jesus unto mercy.
79.)  The Word preached by the Spirit is about conviction of sin and a Word-based knowledge, but also redeeming the time in practice of good deeds (its all about Jesus' glory).
80.)  The reprobation of sinners is a lack of God's divine intervention: namely, here I think of St. Augustine in what he said in His prayer, "God grant what You command."
81.)  The Light (Jesus) is God the Son in eternal self-existence, because He has the power of being and life.
82.)  Jesus Christ is not merely a great Man, a great prophet, a created but exalted angel, a created god, or a famous guru, but He is God the Son in human form.
83.)  The enemies of Jesus sought to expose the deeds of darkness against Jesus, but it was all satanic foolishness: namely, He was not born of a Roman solider in fornication (He was miraculously conceived by the Spirit in the Virgin Mary), He did not have a demon (He was the God-Jew) and He was not a blasphemer (He spoke the words of His Father by the approbation of the Spirit of the Scriptures).

84.)  The Spirit's presence enables sinners to do right.

85.)  Rome criminalizes reports of abuse, but a holy Triune God calls all to expose the unfruitful deeds of Satan.
86.)  What do you know about the works of darkness among fallen sinners?  Simply test your motives (ask yourself questions to seek where your heart is before a holy God), seek justice and pursue the honor of Jesus.
87.)  Why obey God in a confession of sin?  It is about the glory of Jesus, but the Roman confessional is like going to a gossip person and telling your sins to them when they do not have the Spirit to bear each others burdens and dig a deeper pit that the blind fall by a knowledge of unforgiven sins.
88.)  The Roman priest acts and teaches that he is a mediator, but he only bears the sin of the Roman confessional in vain: namely, he cannot bear the sin in the sense of Rome and it furthers a greater sin in their own lives where priests among priests will gather for a unholy time of homosexual practice and pleasure.
89.)  Are we not suppose to live right in our hidden ways?  What happens when Rome even rejects the all-exclusive Cross but adds the filthiness of filthiness to the sinless work of Jesus that alone atoned for any sin of those who possess Him by faith?
90.)  The weakness of Jesus was meant in His condescending divine humility to bear our sin load whether great or small, but it also exposes our sin because the Cross is the Light.
91.)  The weakness of Petillo (imitation of Jesus but not as Jesus in anyway) was meant by a holy Triune God to expose the deeds of darkness whether small or great, but the practice of sin has lead to a greater liberal society.  Click here:  "10 Michael Card God's Own Fool YouTube"
92.)  A delay of justice is partaking of the deeds of darkness.

93.)  A false preaching is unfruitful noise in God's face.

94.)  The agony of Jesus at the Cross was to expose sin to forgive it, but also those who reject the Cross is unto justice.

95.)  Jesus is the sinless Light but Satan is the sinful Darkness, because Jesus is self-existent Purity but Satan is a vile heap of the blackness of darkness where there is no true light but an unmistakeable darkness.

The whole world was lost in the darkness of sin;
The Light of the world is Jesus;
Like sunshine at noonday his glory shone in,
The Light of the world is Jesus.
Come to the Light, 'tis shining for thee;
Sweetly the Light has dawned upon me;
Once I was blind, but now I can see;
The Light of the world is Jesus.
No darkness have we who in Jesus abide,
The Light of the world is Jesus;
We walk in the Light when we follow our Guide,
The Light of the world is Jesus.
Ye dwellers in darkness with sin-blinded eyes,
The Light of the world is Jesus;
Go, wash at his bidding, and light will arise,
The Light of the world is Jesus.
No need of the sunlight in heaven, we're told,
The Light of the world is Jesus;
The Lamb is the Light in the City of Gold,
The Light of the world is Jesus.  (TH, 679)
